Course description :

It is a course prepared for coaches and workers in the field of sports in particular to enable them to deal with the rehabilitation of various injuries. This can be done through providing the student with information, skills and experiences that enable the student to deal with the injury and immediate procedures for it, how to identify the injury and develop a rehabilitation program for returning to sports and first aid. As well as studying the anatomy of body parts from a modern medical perspective that explains the structure of the human body, including bones, joints, muscles, ligaments…

Learning Outcomes :

 

Knowledge

• Introducing the student to the various injuries, the causes of their occurrence, and immediate procedures for them

• The student will understand how to treat an injury and how to develop a rehabilitation program for the injury and its practical applications

• The student will be familiar with the types of muscular, joint, and bone injuries

Cognitive skills

• The student will acquire the skill of collecting data and researching sports sciences through dealing with computers, digital libraries, and researching injuries

• Differentiate between the type and degrees of injuries through signs indicating them, the type of injury, and immediate procedures

• The student’s awareness of first aid skills and how to perform them

Interpersonal skills and responsibility

• The ability to bear responsibility that needs to be developed

• The ability to communicate and work in groups to implement a specific application

• The student’s ability to assume personal responsibility in preparing research and individual assignments

Communication skills, information technology skills, and numerical skills

• Collaborate in solving problems facing students in collecting information.

• Developing the student’s ability to communicate constructively and purposefully with patients

• The ability to seriously discuss and dialogue when applying rehabilitation programs

• Providing the student with the skills to deal with serious injury

Course schedule:

The Duration Of The Course Is 6 Weeks

Number Of Days: 5 Lectures + Exam

Number Of Hours: 10 Hours

 

First Day :

– Introduction to the musculoskeletal system as an approach to injuries

– The general concept of injuries, degrees of injury

– General causes of sports injuries and injury mechanics

– The main symptoms of sports injuries and elements of sports injury prevention

– Sports injuries, signs indicating them, and immediate procedures, RICE base

 

The Second Day :

– Types of injuries (muscle injuries: muscle tear, muscle spasm, muscle pain)

– Joint injuries: torso, spine, etc

– Bone injuries, fractures, bruises

 

The Third Day :

– What is rehabilitation – Objectives of rehabilitation – Technical points of rehabilitation – Types of muscle contractions – Types of exercises used in rehabilitation

– Designing rehabilitation programs for various injuries.

 

The Fourth Day :

– Practical applications on upper body injuries and their rehabilitation.

 

The Fifth Day :

– Practical applications on lower body injuries and their rehabilitation

Assessment : 

After completing the course, you will take a final exam. The exam consists of 50 questions, and there is a time limit of 2 hours in which you must pass with a score of 80% or more.

At the end of the course, the student will receive a certificate from IATD Training – Marketing
